Asma Mursleen, MD

Dr. Asma Mursleen grew up in Toronto, Canada. She completed her undergraduate degree at University of Toronto specializing in Cell and Molecular Biology and minoring in Psychology. She remained on the Dean’s list throughout her training. She earned her medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine. She graduated with a Dean of Clinical Medicine Award in recognition of outstanding performance and academic excellence in the clinical medicine curriculum. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and General Cardiology Fellowship at University at Buffalo. She completed her Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Palmetto General Hospital near Miami, Florida. She logged in near 1000 procedures during her training year including coronary, peripheral and structural procedures. She has participated in both basic science research and clinical research. Her basic science research focused on investigating cardiac stem cells for cardiac tissue regeneration. Her clinical research projects covered a range of topics from structural heart interventions, cardiac imaging, quality of life post interventions, and cardiac procedures. Her research awards include Clinical Research Award, Frawley Research Award, and Research Grant in Cardiology. She showcased her work at the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention conferences. Her work has also been posted on Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics MD and VuMedi websites.

Dr. Mursleen’s philosophy is patient care above all and to treat patients as you would want your family treated. She has been invited to join the Eddie DeBartolo Meta-University Foundation (LMU) which focuses on evidence-based care, preventative care, and compassionate care targeting patients of all backgrounds and strives to continue medical research to advance longevity.
